From November 4 to 6, 2025, the 7th China-Arab States Forum on Radio and Television Cooperation was grandly held in Chongqing. Centered on the theme "Mutual Learning Between Chinese and Arab Civilizations, Win-Win Cooperation in Audiovisual Innovation," the forum was jointly organized by the National Radio and Television Administration, the Chongqing Municipal Government, the Secretariat of the League of Arab States, and the Arab States Broadcasting Union. Over 300 participants from radio and television regulatory authorities, audiovisual media, international organizations, diplomatic envoys in China, related enterprises, and academic think tanks across China and 16 Arab countries gathered in Chongqing.
As a long-term participant and leader in China-Arab cultural exchanges, Ori was invited to attend the forum and set up an exhibition in the core display area, highlighting upcoming globally distributed co-produced works such as the multinational animated series TOGETHER and the first China-Saudi co-produced animation Hakim and Kong Xiaoxi.
At the forum's opening ceremony, Cao Shumin, Vice Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Administrator of the National Radio and Television Administration, specifically mentioned the TOGETHER project, which was selected for the 2023 "Silk Road Audiovisual Project."
During the Opening, Yuan Jiajun, Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Yang Yong, Deputy Director-General of the International Cooperation Department of the National Radio and Television Administration, visited the Ori booth and engaged in in-depth discussions with Ori representatives. Deputy Director-General Yang Yong particularly introduced the first China-Saudi co-produced animated work, Hakim and Kong Xiaoxi, to Secretary Yuan Jiajun.
Ori has always been committed to "telling China’s stories and disseminating Chinese culture." Since 2013, Ori began exploring international cooperation in the cultural sector, with its first step directed toward Arab countries. In 2014, Ori co-produced the television animation Hakim and Kong Xiaoxi with Saudi Arabia. This work marked the first animation project between China and Saudi Arabia, inaugurating a new journey in cultural and people-to-people cooperation between the two nations. Today, all of Ori’s film and animation productions achieve distribution in the Arab region, continuously promoting Chinese culture globally.
In April 2025, Ori upgraded its original Riyadh office to the Regional Headquarters, which is currently in the trial operation phase. The regional headquarters will focus on advancing businesses in areas such as film and television, intangible cultural heritage, talent education, and cultural tourism. It will also provide services to other cultural and tourism institutions and enterprises between China and the Arab region, aiming to build bridges for cultural and tourism cooperation between China and other countries and create opportunities for the global expansion of Chinese culture and tourism.
During the forum, Ori also engaged in in-depth discussions with Chinese and Arab representatives on joint production, copyright cooperation, and talent exchanges, laying a solid foundation for further enriching the connotation of China-Arab film and television cooperation and strengthening mutual learning between civilizations.
In the future, Ori will continue to uphold the philosophy of "cultural globalization and win-win cooperation," playing a bridging role in the new journey of China-Arab radio, television, and audiovisual collaboration, and writing new chapters in exchanges and mutual learning.
